Ever hurt in the very deepest part of you? You show up at work. Church. Social events. Internally the weight pulls you down, but externally you force up a smile. You manage conversations but the pain is your constant companion. Tears stand ready to release at a moment’s notice. You feel so alone.
How many of us walk through seasons of life with hidden pain that no one would ever guess we are carrying? What do we do with this burden? This weight.
Our pain may be hidden from all the world, but our Savior, Creator, Friend, and Counselor is intimately acquainted with every nuance that is breaking our hearts. He knows reality. He knows the cause of your pain. He knows who hurt you. He knows who betrayed you. He knows who abused you. He knows who lied to you. He knows who accused you. He knows who has rejected you. He knows who has crushed you. He knows.
Your pain, hidden from every human eye, is never hidden from God’s loving gaze. If you will but trust Him with all your heart, He will enable you to walk this hard path. He’s holding your hand. He’s holding your heart. He loves you. And He truly wants the best for you. You might not feel any of these facts are true but that doesn’t alter their reality. Walk in faith, cry out to God, and find immense hope as you suffer hidden pain. Search the Scriptures and discover who God really is. He cares very much about what you are going through. He sees exactly what you are experiencing. And best of all, He is the “God of all comfort, who comforts us in ALL our affliction.”
