Quitting seems so tempting.  So promising.  So enticing.  The moment is hard.  The temptation so strong.  The mind isn’t thinking straight.  The feelings are overwhelming.

I ask you to find strength to push through this hard moment.  I ask you to find courage to face the trial.  I ask you to see that you matter.  This moment is merely that…a moment.  You are in the dark.  But the light will shine again.

Look to the Light of the World during your dark.  Reach out to the hand closest to you.  As you feel yourself slipping quickly into depression, please, please, NEVER QUIT.

When you feel you can’t go on another moment, go on another moment.  NEVER QUIT.

When life makes no sense and has not turned out as desired and the physical and emotional pain overwhelm and press down on your soul, reach out for help but NEVER QUIT.

I write this to you.  I write this to me.

NEVER QUIT

And yet…perhaps we find quitting so tempting because we forget that Christ our Savior is interceding for us this very moment. Perhaps we forget that we have the Holy Spirit in us fighting the enemy of our soul. Perhaps we forget that we never ever walk this hard moment alone. Though He is invisible, His presence is reality. Though He is untouchable, He is right next to us. Though He cannot be heard, His Word strengthens us.

Consider Who is with you in this hard, dark moment. He is there. He sees you. He is holding your hand.

“Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.” James 1:12
